Joy was a great lover of animals of all kinds. At least part of her day was reserved for making sure that they were all fed, from the tiniest of mice, to the deer, racoons, birds, and others, that visited her back yard. Eventually, after requests to do so from friends, Joy painted a goodly number of animal portraits, some of which are exhibited here.
