puffer fish cat ha! Ha!

Painted for Joy’s niece in South Africa who had a penchant for saving feral cats, this funny title was provided by Joy in her writings about this painting. Obviously a beautiful Persian, the fluffy white fur has been rendered with soft and wispy brushstrokes in such a way as to make it assume the characteristic of a cuddly doll for a young kid, however, the eyes bring us back to reality with their exactly rendered details, centering us on the real character of this striking feline.
