Joy didn’t define herself as a pastel artist but back in the days when she studied at Wexford Collegiate School For The Arts the students experimented with all kinds of media. This pastel portrait is of Natasha, Christine Valentini’s daughter. Joy thinks she would have preferred to have used an all-over light blue in the background and she may be right about that as it would have been a full compliment of the golden red-head, however, the chalks made her sneeze, and for that reason likely cut the session short.
