I’m not sure if June Jame’s glasses are what gives this portrait its look of determination, but included with that smile are personal memories of Junes hard work for Arts Scarborough when things got tough, which they did at one sequence and she was there with her smiles and good ideas to pursue success. June didn’t have white hair when I knew her, but as joy put it in her notes, we can’t live forever, and anyway, who would want to? June was there when help was needed to reduce some huge debts when mistakes were made over an arts council festival.
