2020 was a sad year as a portrait painter for Joy as she was commisioned to execute four memorial pieces. This one is of Alan Forster, which seems a bit lacking in contrast which may have been intential in order to get that ethereal feel for someone who is no longer with us. These thing are hard to say in the absence of the artist because there is no definitive answer without them being here.
