“During one of my trips to South Africa we visited some family friends on the south coast where I snapped a shot of these geese walking by their kitchen window. To see this painting always takes me back in time.”
White is never exactly white, so we see here Joy’s skillful blending of white to produce form and substance. The wall is also a clever and useful element in its descent as it echoes the marching of the geese.
