Many Canadians can relate to leaving family behind in their mother country. This angelic soul was only known to Joy MacFadyen in photographs, as Joy long ago left South Africa and lived in other countries. Once again we are struck by the clever use of light pastel colours to create an aura of brightness and well being around this party dress darling .The sky, a bowl of confetti in texture, provides the foil for the beautifully smooth baby face skin. No wonder Joy was sad when she thought about that sad part of living abroad.
